Spiced Iced Vanilla Coffee

With inspiration from The Chocolate and Coffee Bible, I got a little creative with my morning coffee today. Even though winter is at the tips of our toes, I wanted to try a cold coffee beverage instead of the lattés I’ve been stirring up lately. I decided to mix it up by blending the ideas from a Coffee Frappé and a Coffee Yogurt into one beverage (with a few modifications of course!) Here is my Spiced Iced Vanilla Coffee, enjoy! 🙂 This recipe makes 1 serving.

Spiced Iced Vanilla Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vanilla no sugar added frozen yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp sugar (you can omit the sugar completely if you don’t want the drink to be too sweet)
  • 1 cup strong brewed chilled coffee
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • dash of cinnamon/cocoa powder to garnish

Method:

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, and serve in a tall glass. Garnish with a dash of cinnamon and cocoa powder, and enjoy! 🙂
  • Note: because you are mixing all of the ingredients in a blender, when you pour into the glass, you will automatically get a nice frothy foam on the top of the beverage. Also, this beverage has less than 150 calories. 😉
